Music of Mozart, Reich, and Stravinsky

Program

Drawing connections between the classical, neoclassical and minimalist styles of music, this program features Minimalist icon Steve Reich’s hypnotic Mallet Quartet for four percussionists, alongside Debussy’s gorgeous Ariettes oublieés sung by NOVA favorite Celena Shafer and Mozart’s lyrical String Quartet in E-flat Major performed by NOVA Quartet-in-Residence The Fry Street Quartet, and Stravinsky’s neoclassical masterpiece Octet for brass and winds, featuring principals from the Utah Symphony.
