Violinist Hannah Linz joined the Utah Symphony in 2017. Previously she played in the Dallas Symphony’s violin section for two seasons as a Jaap van Zweden Violin Scholar. Hannah has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She is the first prize winner of various competitions including the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music’s Violin Concerto Competition, the Marquette Symphony Young Artist Competition, the Lansing Symphony Youth Concerto Competition, and she has performed as a soloist with the Lansing Symphony, Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony, Marquette Symphony, Lagrange Symphony and the Ypsilanti Symphony. Hannah has performed at many summer festivals including Breckenridge Music Festival, Kent/Blossom, The Quartet Program, Schleswig-Holstein, and Summit Music Festival. Hannah began playing the violin at the age of three. She completed her studies at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music studying with professors Alexander Kerr, Jorja Fleezanis, and Ik-Hwan Bae.
