Sasha Kasman Laude

American pianist Sasha Kasman Laude’s playing is praised by the Palm Beach Arts Paper as “powerful and vivid” and having “such an abundance of intelligence that it can only be described as relentless” (Ludwig van Toronto). Kasman Laude is a laureate of the 2022 Honens International Piano Competition and has given recitals at major venues internationally such as Steinway Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York, Yamaha Ginza Hall in Tokyo, Salle Cortot in Paris, and concert halls in twelve cities across Italy. Recent engagements include performances with the Dayton Philharmonic (Ohio) and Luminous Voices Ensemble (Canada), as well as masterclasses for UMTA and University of Calgary. Kasman Laude has been a soloist with over a dozen orchestras, including the Juilliard Orchestra and seven appearances with the National Symphony of Ukraine, and has collaborated with the New York Chamber Players and the Viano, Aeolus, and Fry Street String Quartets. She studied at University of Alabama at Birmingham, the Juilliard School, and University of Michigan, where she recently earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts. Her principal teachers include her father Yakov Kasman, Robert McDonald, and Logan Skelton.

Kasman Laude is a recently appointed Assistant Professor of Piano at Utah State University. She has guest taught at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Calgary, Lee University, Bowling Green State University, and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. She is a regular faculty member and guest artist at multiple summer music festivals, including USU Summer Piano Festival, Fry Street Chamber Music Festival, pianoSonoma, International Keyboard Institute and Festival, International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival, Southeastern Piano Festival, and Vivace Music Festival. Kasman Laude is passionate about music outreach and has given over one hundred educational concerts in different venues outside of the concert hall.
